After over 50 years of joint use agreements, Spokane Parks and Recreation and Spokane Public Schools are furthering collaboration efforts, as voters will decide the fate of twin ballot measures from each agency that look to integrate funding opportunities and create a more holistic approach to community investment.
“The community came out loud and clear, and they wanted government agencies to actually work together, rather than being in their own separate silos, to start really working horizontally on their mission alignments and their goals and find those efficiencies in government,” said Director of Parks and Recreation Garrett Jones.
