Amy Schumer, the queen of comedy and the small screen, is now conquering a new frontier: the art of the mirror selfie.
The Emmy-winning actress and comedian, known for her candidness about her weight-loss journey, continued to playfully flaunt her physical transformation with a humorous selfie shared on her Instagram stories Thursday, Oct. 23.
The photo featured Schumer, 44, striking a pose in front of her bathroom mirror, sporting a midriff-baring pink sports bra and blue trousers. Her caption was classic Schumer: “No filter, no filler, no clean mirror.”
This cheeky post follows earlier banter with fans about her weight loss after receiving a flood of compliments on social media for her slimmer figure.
Earlier this month, in an Oct. 4 Instagram post, the “Life & Beth” star shared a group photo with friends Alex Saks and Jillian Bell. In the selfie, Schumer was rocking a chic black button-down minidress paired with matching high heels.
The outfit garnered praise from many, including fellow comedian Kathy Griffin, who humorously wrote, “I’m so pissed about your legs, I can barely talk to you. 😍”
Schumer later acknowledged the outpouring of love, commenting on Oct. 5, “Loving the love. My legs thank you!”
Schumer has been an open book about her weight-loss journey in recent years, revealing in a March 2022 interview with Chelsea Handler that she underwent liposuction after battling the effects of endometriosis and a Cesarean section.
According to the Mayo Clinic, liposuction is a surgical procedure that uses suction to “remove fat from specific areas of the body, such as the stomach, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms or neck.” It’s important to note that it’s not widely considered a weight-loss alternative.
“I just wanted to say that because if anybody sees me in pictures or anything and they’re like, she looks thinner, and whatever: It’s because I had a surgery,” Schumer told Handler. “It’s too hard, and I just want to be real about it.”
