Community tips help deputies find missing Blythewood girls

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — Three young girls from Blythewood have been found safe after they were missing from their home on Slippery Elm Circle for more than 12 hours.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, the girls — ages 9, 10, and 12 — were reported missing by their parents Friday morning after last being seen Thursday night.

Deputies launched an extensive search effort with K-9 units and air support. Sergeant Bryce Hughes said about a dozen deputies worked the case, with more ready to assist if needed…
