LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a crash that sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries Friday morning and closed a major east valley street.
The crash was reported around 5 a.m. on Nellis Boulevard, south of Charleston Boulevard. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan police, a driver, suspected of impairment, lost control while driving on Charleston and struck a fence and then a retaining wall, before fleeing the scene on foot. A passenger in the car was transported to a local hospital.
