WATCH: Hundreds of students line hospital hallways for classmate’s Honor Walk

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WKRC) – Hundreds of students showed support for a classmate at the end of her life by lining the halls of the hospital as she took her Honor Walk to become an organ donor.

Kimber Mills, 18, had her life cut short on October 19 when a 27-year-old gunman opened fire at a high school bonfire party, as previously reported.

Although Mills was initially taken to the hospital with critical injuries, her family took her off of life support at 7:08 p.m. on Tuesday shortly after her Honor Walk. An Honor Walk is an event in which a patient that is about to donate organs is celebrated while the patient is being taken to the operating room…
