Hard hats and high ambitions | Knox County high school students get hands-on career lessons

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — From the classroom to the construction site, some Knox County high school students were able to learn more about workforce development on Friday for the fourth annual ACE Trades Day.

The event is through the ACE Mentoring Program of Greater Knoxville. Around 250 students were in attendance, getting hands-on lessons in architecture, construction and engineering. The students who attended are apart of 865 Academies, an initiative from Knox County Schools that connects classroom learning and real-world experiences.
