On Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, citizens of Lexington joined more than 2,500 cities and 7 million people nationwide for a second No Kings demonstration. The crowd spread across the courthouse plazas downtown and extended to the corners of Main, Vine, and Limestone. Several speakers attended and took the stage, including community organizers, politicians, and local faith leaders, to share their concerns about the current state of US administration. The event wasn’t all serious, with plenty of music and color, creative signs, and people dressed in costume to help keep the mood light, energetic, and fun.
