Beginning Monday, October 27, 2025, several public transportation changes will take effect across Aiken County and the City of Aiken, according to updates from the Aiken County Planning and Public Transit Division and the Augusta Regional Transportation Study (ARTS). These adjustments are part of a wider mobility enhancement effort under the Aiken County Comprehensive Plan 2024–2034 and the Future Mobility 2050 Update.
Key Changes Effective Next Week
Expanded Dial-A-Ride and Route Realignment
The Aiken County Transit Dial-A-Ride system will expand service coverage to include the Graniteville and Warrenville corridors starting next week. This expansion introduces two new pickup zones:
Zone 4 (Graniteville–Warrenville)
Zone 5 (North Aiken Industrial Area)…
