Broward County Animal Care to Host Screening of Film Challenging Dog Breed Stereotypes

Broward County Animal Care will host a community screening of Chasing Chocolate, a powerful documentary exploring the impact of breed-specific legislation, on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at 7 p.m. at its Fort Lauderdale headquarters, located at 2400 SW 42nd St.

The film, directed by Carla Forte and Dahlia Canes of the Miami Coalition Against Breed Specific Legislation (MCABSL), examines the consequences of laws that restrict certain dog breeds and the emotional toll such policies take on families and pets.
