Dozens of staff members at Heights University Hospital (formerly known as Christ Hospital) were told Friday they will be laid off. The layoffs take effect Sunday, Oct. 26.
While the exact number of staffers who received layoff notices is unclear at this time, last week a spokesman for the Health Professionals and Allied Employees said about half of their 205 members — or roughly 102 people — were informed they could be affected.
