KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — At The New Vic Theatre in Kalamazoo, the final performances of an annual production — “Ghost Stories” — have begun, and the nonprofit invites West Michigan to come experience their unique, intimate space.
“It’s becoming an annual tradition for a lot of people,” Jennifer Furney, managing director at The New Vic Theatre, said.

In the annual “Ghost Stories” show, actors and production staff have collaborated on a series of original monologues and scenes themed around Halloween ghost stories, including some hits that fans may recognize from previous years.
“Some of them are based on old campfire stories that you might’ve heard growing up,” Furney said. “A lot, this year, are brand-new.”
Audience members are placed around an intimate theater setting as they enjoy the performance — an antique space that dates back to The New Vic Theatre’s original years as a folk music venue in the early 1960s…
