MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Tennessee Department of Transportation hosted a special event to officially unveil the new name for the I-55 Bridge over the Mississippi River: Kings’ Crossing.
The new name, adopted by the Tennessee General Assembly and the Arkansas Highway Commission, honors three transformative figures known as “Kings”: B.B. King; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; and Elvis Presley.
