A Leesburg man wanted for strangling his girlfriend was arrested after being chased by police.
An officer responded to a battery involving 29-year-old Anderson Lavon Faulk and his girlfriend at Gardens at Griffin Apartments, located at One Herald Drive, around 4:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Her father advised that she was at the apartment being attacked.
Upon arrival, the officer found the girlfriend upset and crying. She stated the altercation began when Faulk came home from a club. They started arguing, and he wanted her to sleep on the couch, the report said.
She kept telling him she would sleep in their bedroom, to which he grabbed her several times and tried to drag her by the legs out of the room. When she resisted, he punched her, grabbed her throat and tried to drag her out again, the report said…
