A Leesburg man was arrested for driving under the influence after being found unconscious in an AT&T parking lot.
An officer spotted 68-year-old Charles Mario Foster in a white 2010 Toyota Prius sitting in the middle of the AT&T parking lot, located at 610 N 14th St., around 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The vehicle, a push to start that seemed to be turning on and off, was running with its hazard lights flashing and front windows down.
When the officer got closer, he found Foster unconscious in the driver’s seat with what looked like drool on the front of his shirt. He also noticed the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and a can of Clubtails Bahama Mama Premium Cocktail, labeled as 10 percent alcohol by volume, the report said.
Foster was slow to respond and stated he had been sleeping. He admitted to drinking before stepping out of the vehicle, during which he needed to use the vehicle door for support due to being unsteady. The officer continued to smell alcohol coming from his person and breath, the report said…
