LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Explosives training at the old S.J. Montgomery Elementary School in Lafayette caught local residents off guard.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted the exercises late in the afternoon, resulting in noticeable damage to the former school building.
The sounds of explosions surprised many in the area…
