Brian Barber, a Shreveport city judge since 2015, has been nominated to be a United States Marshal for the Western District of Louisiana.
Barber, first elected in the fall of 2014, has a bit more than a year left on his second term but would fill the U.S. Marshal spot vacated by current Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.
Barber’s nomination follows those of others with area connections in line for federal positions.
