Man accused of using fake barcode to steal from Victor Target

Deputies arrested a Rochester man last week after he was caught using a fake barcode at the Target store in Victor.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Chris Cassese was taken into custody around 2:16 p.m. on October 23 at the Commons Boulevard location.

Deputies say Cassese used a fraudulent barcode to scan sports trading cards, intentionally replacing the real price with a lower one. He was charged with petit larceny and first-degree falsifying business records…
