ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A community event at the Rochester Community Sports Complex aimed to help residents in need took place today. Organized by the Chisel Collective LLC, a local nonprofit, the event provided essential support for those on Medicaid.
Charice Winston, a Senior Cares Manager with Chisel Collective, says they worked with sponsors including Forward Leading IPA, which partners with Medicaid. They offer assistance with rent, utilities, and food costs.
“Anyone that has Medicaid are the ones that qualify,” says Winston. Any person that is pregnant or with a child under 12-months[-old] will qualify. And we do our best to try to get everybody qualified, but you know, we can’t guarantee anything. We can just do our best.”…
