VENICE — In its 25th year of collecting land to conserve, Sarasota County has acquired its 100th piece of property.
On Oct. 17, the milestone was marked with the county closing on the purchase of the Venice property formerly known as Camp Venice RV Resort. The land is at the east end of Venice Avenue, on the bank of the Myakka River and next to the county-owned Snook Haven property.
