Arkansas – An Arkansas man was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder following the fataI shooting of his famiIy member, Ausstin. Deputies from Sheriff’s Office responded to the family’s residence in Arkansas around 7:07 p.m., where they discovered the victim, whose age was not disclosed, deceased outside the home from apparent gunshot wounds.
According to court documents, the shooter, 42-year-old D. Canon, admitted to killing his sibIing during a post-Miranda interview at the sheriff’s office. He stated that the victim had threatened to kill his spouse and chiId. The defendant further explained that when the victim approached him and raised his hand as if to strike, he began firing. The defendant reported that his firearm held twenty one rounds, and he discharged all of them during the incident.
