ST. LOUIS – Organizers and a local gas station gathered on Friday and said enough is enough with the crime and violence in the North City, after multiple shootings in the area, recently involving children as young as 1 years old.
“I have a concern about when I stand on my porch and I have to run in because they’re shooting like it’s a war,” said Tam Coleman with Help reunite grievance sisters.
Precious Jones, with Breaking Generational Poverty, said she brought her ideas of bringing resources into their community to the owners at Crown Mart Mobil at 5588 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Dr., and they agreed to host awareness events and hold gun locks to distribute whenever.
