WICHITA, Kan. – A gray, drizzly dawn spreads across Sedgwick County this Saturday morning, the streets damp and air heavy with mist. Steady showers and patchy fog will continue through much of the day before tapering from west to east late tonight. The damp start signals the final push of an unsettled fall system moving across Kansas before a drier, cooler pattern builds early next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, rain will persist through Saturday afternoon with widespread totals near a quarter inch. Visibility will drop briefly in fog, especially along I-35 and U.S. 54 corridors through midday. Winds remain light from the east at 7 to 10 mph.
