Volleyball Drops Two on the Road

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Knights hit the road on Saturday and headed to Augusta, Georgia to take on the Jaguars of Augusta University and the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College. The Knights were able to take one set from the Jaguars on Thursday and were hoping to improve upon that result.

The Knights jumped on the Jaguars early, winning the first three points, but five straight points by the Jaguars put the Knights behind 7-5. The Knights tied the set at 9-9 but the Jaguars used two and three point runs to slowly pull away as the Knights lost the set 25-19. The Knights got another early lead in the second set before a six point run by the Jaguars put the Knights behind 8-5. The Knights were able to get back within one point but the Jaguars outlasted the Knights to win the set 25-21. The third set was close to start with the set tied at 7-7. The Jaguars used multiple four point runs to pull away from the Knights as they lost 25-17. Graysen Lallier led the Knights with nine kills, Ellie Johnson and aubrie Beard each had 13 assists, and Paige Collier had 13 digs…
