A St. Armands staple since 2021, Salty Stitch opened an additional and expanded location in Downtown Sarasota this March.
Lindsey Klentzin opened her first store in 2010, located on Fire Island in New York, shortly before opening Salty Stitch as a women’s apparel store in 2013 in the same area. When she moved to Sarasota, she brought Salty Stitch and its focus on modern coastal apparel with her to St. Armands Circle, but expanded to sell men’s clothing as well. “I took the concepts of both the stores in New York and put them into one,” Klentzin says.
The new location on Main Street is significantly larger than the St. Armands spot, so Klentzin has expanded its range of dresses, tops, bottoms and hand-picked accessories. “Downtown Sarasota has always been on our radar. It just seemed like the perfect location. It’s a little bit further out, but it seems like Sarasota is expanding that way, and we love the space,” she says…
