Cincinnati Police Intensify Manhunt for Suspect in Mt. Airy Fatal Shooting, Public Cautioned as Suspect Deemed “Armed and Dangerous”

The Cincinnati Police Department is intensifying its search for Edinson Antoni Guaita Ascanio, a 32-year-old man wanted for the murder of Jhonny Jesus Mercado-Perez in what has become a priority case for the local law enforcement. According to WLWT, the fatal incident occurred last Sunday, around 4 a.m., at the 5000 block of Hawaiian Terrace in Mt. Airy, where Mercado-Perez, aged 26, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound by first responders who attempted resuscitation to no avail, as he succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
