Greensboro mayoral candidates share visions for the city’s future in community debate

GREENSBORO, N.C. — On Sunday, two veteran public officials vying to become Greensboro’s next mayor shared their plans for the city during a debate hosted by the Greensboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., at Providence Baptist Church.

At the event, which was moderated by WFMY News 2’s Ben Briscoe and Greensboro Attorney Margaret Dudley, Mayor Pro Tem Marikay Abuzuaiter and former Mayor Robbie Perkins answered questions on a variety of topics — ranging from affordable housing to public safety to access to health care.
