MADISON COUNTY, Ala — Schemers and crooks are finding success targeting those who have not heard or heeded warnings about various scams, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office advised in a public notice on Sunday.
Madison County residents continue to fall victim to sophisticated phone scams in which criminals impersonate law enforcement officials and demand immediate payment for fabricated legal issues, they said.
