Men’s Soccer Fights Hard against No. 16 Trinity on Sunday

SAN ANTONIO, Texas The Millsaps men’s soccer team put up a valiant effort, falling 3-1 to No. 16 Trinity University. Despite the loss, Millsaps played with a chip on their shoulders as a unit against their conference contenders on Sunday at Paul McGinlay Field.

Trinity (13-1, 6-0 SAA) entered as the No. 16 team in the NCAA Division III National Power Index, but got all they could handle from visiting Millsaps (7-7-2, 1-5 SAA).

Senior Michael Hamauei recorded six saves during the match, including four in the first half. Freshman Myles Walden scored for the Majors, recording two shots on goal. Classmate Raul Blandon contributed offensively by taking a shot on goal aside from Walden…
