On October 23, 2025, the Women’s Community Correctional Center (WCCC) in Kailua, Hawaiʻi, held a resource fair to help nearly 150 inmates prepare for reentry into society. The event was organized by the nonprofit Transforming Lives, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR) Reentry Coordination Office, and the Hawaiʻi Paroling Authority. The fair took place at the Maunawili Cottage courtyard inside WCCC.
More than 100 representatives from over 50 organizations attended. They provided information on housing, job training, healthcare, substance abuse treatment, education, and other support services. Both community and faith-based groups, as well as state and city agencies, participated. Organizations included Care Hawaiʻi, Dynamic Healing Center, Going Home Hawaiʻi, Habilitat, the Department of Health, and the Salvation Army Treatment Services.
