Kentucky sheriff’s office warns public of scammers pretending to be deputies

SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. — A Kentucky sheriff’s office is warning its residents of a phone scam where scammers are impersonating deputies.

On Saturday, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that scammers are “once again” spoofing the sheriff’s office’s and dispatch’s phone numbers.
