On October 26, 2025, Corpus Christi Police responded to a shooting in the 4600 block of Sharpsburg Rd. at about 11:40 pm. Officers found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound and gave emergency aid until medics arrived. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police detained several people at the scene. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident, which followed a disturbance involving a weapon.
