Declining mortgage interest rates and more inventory helped fuel double-digit increases in home sales in the Green Bay, Appleton and Oshkosh areas.
September existing home sales increased 21.3% in Outagamie County, 18.1% in Brown County and 12.6% in Winnebago County compared to September 2024, according to Wisconsin Realtors Association data. The local increases far exceed the statewide 6.9% increase in home sales last month.
It’s the second straight month for strong home sales, helping the region’s key housing markets erase year-to-date declines in home sales that persisted into summer.
