SEL Announces Major Expansion Projects in Idaho and North Carolina

PULLMAN, WA — Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is planning major expansions in Idaho and North Carolina, marking approximately $90 million in capital investments over the next two years as the company continues to grow its manufacturing and operational footprint.

The employee-owned power system protection and technology company announced Monday that it will add a total of 370,000 square feet across campuses in Moscow and Boise, Idaho, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

In Moscow, SEL will build a 150,000-square-foot electronic device manufacturing facility on its Schwartz Campus along South Main Street. The $50 million project is expected to significantly increase production capabilities when completed in 2027…
