Troy Police arrest armed robbery suspect

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Troy Police Department arrested a Troy man in connection with two armed robberies. Xavier Baker, 29, was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny.

Baker is accused of an armed robbery at LB Empire and Deli in Lansingburgh on September 28 as well as one at LeBeau’s Grocery in Troy on October 14. Troy Police Officers conducted a search warrant on Baker’s vehicle and reported finding evidence linking him to the robberies.

Police said the suspect admitted to the robberies during questioning and he was then arrested. Baker was placed in the Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
