Teen blames mom for 106 mph drive on Edison Bridge; arrested under new Florida law

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A teenager was arrested early Sunday morning after deputies said he drove more than 100 mph on a Lee County bridge under a new state law targeting excessive speed.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Santiago Carcamo Londono, 19, was clocked driving 106 mph on the Edison Bridge in Fort Myers using a radar device.

Deputies pulled Londono over, before he told deputies that his mother was rushing him to take a friend home. The friend was in the passenger seat when he was pulled over, LCSO said…
