Fort Wayne Man Arrested For Alleged Theft

WARSAW – A Fort Wayne man has been arrested for allegedly stealing items from a residence.

Dale Duane Lesniak II, 45, Fort Wayne, is charged with theft where the value of the property is between $750 and $50,000, a level 6 felony.

On Aug. 20, Kosciusko County dispatch advised officers of a theft case at a residence in Warsaw. Officers responded and spoke with the victim, who stated Lesniak stayed at his residence over the last three weeks to do electrical work. The victim explained that on Aug. 19, they were staying at a friend’s house while Lesniak was at their home. The victim returned home on Aug. 20 and noticed the following items missing:

  • fireplace television stand with radio
  • subwoofer
  • laptop
  • cell phone
  • $30-$50 in a clear, plastic piggy bank

The victim advised they reviewed the security camera footage and saw a man in a black SUV drive onto the front lawn and proceed to enter the residence multiple times to remove the items. The victim identified the man as Lesniak…
