Harnett County Government will participate in Operation Green Light for Veterans. Government buildings will be illuminated with green lights from November 4 to 11, 2025. The National Association for Counties (NACo) leads this initiative. The goal is to honor veterans, raise awareness about their challenges, and inform the public about available support resources.
Eric Truesdale, Harnett County Director of Veterans Services, said the county recognizes veterans’ sacrifices as Veterans Day approaches. Residents are encouraged to display green lights at their homes or businesses during the week. Operation Green Light is in its fifth year. More than 450 counties participated in 2024.
