WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — The new Fruit Ridge Avenue bridge is set to open to traffic at 6 p.m. Monday, marking the end of a seven-month construction project.
The Michigan Department of Transportation and the city of Walker partnered on the $30 million replacement of the 1961 structure. Crews finished final pavement markings and signage over the weekend.
