Assault charge against former CYFD worker dismissed

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The former New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department worker accused of putting her hands on a teen in her care is no longer facing charges. Dajae Robinson was charged with aggravated assault last month after police said she choked and punched the teen at a CYFD facility on Indian School Road in Albuquerque.

Her bench trial was scheduled for Monday, but court records show a witness failed to show up to court. As a result, the case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning the charge can be refiled.
