SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A food bank manager in Baltic said Monday, “We’re just kind of waiting to see,” as the USDA has said it cannot fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as of Nov. 1.
The USDA has said it doesn’t have the $8 billion needed to fully fund the program. More than 40 million low-income beneficiaries are expected to receive lower SNAP benefits.
