After a successful peaceful protest several weeks ago, UTC Civic Engagement has announced a second protest planned for Monday, Oct. 27 to rally against the recent rollbacks of University Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs (DEI).
The event, partnered with UTC Spectrum, will take place on the Library Steps at 4 p.m., and participants will march to the Chattanooga Courthouse on Georgia Avenue. Civic Engagement encouraged students to spread the word and bring signs to express their views, while clarifying that they are protesting state law and not the University’s actions.
