Avery Chauncey, the late Corry teen who dedicated her life to helping animals while battling cancer, is being honored once again for her work.
PETA announced they’ll be adding Avery’s name to a leaf on their Tree of Life memorial at their headquarters for her nonprofit, Avery’s Pawsitive Change, which continues to feed thousands of animals in shelters across the country.

The memorial honors people whose actions and lives made a difference for animals and is the second time PETA has honored Avery, naming her a Hero to Animals in February 2021.
Avery passed away on October 14 after her years-long battle with Ewing Sarcoma cancer, all while raising money for animals in need.
