HICKORY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Three North Carolina men have been arrested after being accused of carjacking a driver in Hickory and leading police on a chase into a different county.
According to the Hickory Police Department, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at 4 a.m. Monday at the Sheetz convenience store on Springs Road. They say the four suspects approached a male at the gas pumps and forced the victim into his vehicle.

The suspects then allegedly entered the vehicle with the victim and drove away from the scene. They released the victim a short time later at a business near the original incident location.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were able to locate the vehicle on Statesville Blvd. near Jake Alexander Blvd., and a vehicle pursuit began. The chase led deputies into the parking lot of the Rowan Community Center and eventually wound up back onto Statesville Blvd. where the suspect vehicle continued to flee westbound…
