No charges after central Pa. high school student killed riding e-bike

After investigating an August crash that resulted in the death of William Fenninger, a Warwick High School 11th grader, police say the driver of the minivan who hit Fenninger’s electric bike will not face charges.

Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department said Fenninger “failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2006 Toyota minivan traveling southbound on Church Street, resulting in the collision.” The investigation found the minivan’s driver followed driving rules and regulations. The name of the driver was not released but was also a juvenile, police said.

“No negligent behaviors or actions by the driver were found to have contributed to the causation of the crash,” the release reads. “No charges are being filed.”…
