HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The lawsuit over a deadly trooper-involved shooting in the Longs area has been settled.
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety paid the family of Tristan Vereen $250,000 in a settlement last month over the lawsuit the family filed, according to records from the South Carolina Insurance Reserve Fund.
