One of the best food events in the region is almost here: the annual Crab Fest Weekend in Tierra Verde, hosted by waterfront seafood star Billy’s Stone Crab. Festivities take place Friday, October 31 – Sunday, November 2, hosted at Billy’s Stone Crab, 1 Collany Rd, Tierra Verde.
This year’s rendition is double the fun, as the weekend will also include a Halloween party on October 31 to kick off the three-day run of great eats. Friday night’s kickoff party will see the beloved restaurant transformed into a spooky waterfront escape, complete with a costume contest, live music, specialty cocktails, dancing, and of course – pounds and pounds of fresh crab. All festivities are free to attend, with food and drink available for purchase.
The event of the year for seafood fans
The seafood is, of course, the main draw of the weekend. Every day is a good day to visit Billy’s, but Crab Fest Weekend showcases the absolute best of this award-winning restaurant. The highlights are the many crab dishes, including the local star – fresh Florida stone crab. There will also be snow crab, blue crab cakes, and much, much more.
The three-day celebration is a paradise for seafood lovers, and especially crab enthusiasts. Stone crab season is practically a religion around here, and nobody does it better than Billy’s Stone Crab. It is right there in the name, after all. October is when the season begins, meaning that Billy’s is the go-to spot on the beaches now through May 1.
The Halloween weekend kickoff is the ultimate way to start the season, and for our money, it’s the tastiest Halloween party in town…
