Construction has started on the Waterview Apartments in Mangonia Park, a multi-family rental development for low-income seniors and disabled adults in West Palm Beach.
Developers Sun Foundation, Inc. and Rich Global are proceeding with a $54 million community that would feature a six-story building with 140 residences. Per county records, 56 units would be reserved for households earning at or below 30 percent of the area median income (AMI), while the remaining 84 units would be for those earning at or below 80 percent of the AMI. By these parameters, a one-person household could earn no more than $60,000 a year to qualify.
The Waterview Apartments in Mangonia Park will span over 180,000 square feet of new construction. Residents would have access to various amenities, many of which relate to on-site health and wellness services. The project would also host 112 parking spots in a multi-level podium-style garage.
