LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Black Hills Energy and NorthWestern Energy have taken another step forward in the process to merge their companies to create one regional regulated electric and natural gas utility company.
On Monday, the two companies submitted a joint application to the Nebraska Public Service Commission (NPSC) seeking regulatory approval for a merger between the two companies.
The companies said the merger will not change energy service or rates for customers served by Black Hills Energy and NorthWestern Energy. Regulatory oversight by the NPSC will remain unchanged…
