Victim identified in fatal shooting at Granite City bar

GRANITE CITY, Ill. – Authorities have identified a man shot to death outside a Granite City bar over the weekend.

According to the Granite City Police Department, officers responded to Patrick’s Bar on Nameoki Road just before 1:50 a.m. Saturday.

Officers found the victim, Jesus Escobedo, suffering from gunshot wounds on the ground outside. Escobedo was rushed to Gateway Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:37 a.m. He was 26.
