Jackson man convicted of killing teen last fall in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Xavian Soto, the Jackson man charged with killing a teenager in Lansing last fall, has been found guilty.

Soto, 20, was convicted Tuesday of second-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm in connection with the death of 18-year-old Braylon Shepherd on Nov. 7, 2024.

Shepherd was found shot to death on Sadie Court and authorities arrested Soto within 24 hours…
